How to travel by motorhome to Gibraltar
Gibraltar
Gibraltar belongs to England and is located in the south of Andalusia, 24km from Africa. A valid passport is required to enter. Apart from the English style of the city the Rock of Gibraltar is the main attraction. You can go up on foot or by cable car. As the distances are long it is really best to take one of the taxis which offer tours of the main attractions. There are also some interesting caves to visit, such as St Michael’s Cave or the Great Siege Tunnels.
Where to park and stay overnight in a motorhome?
Although in Gibraltar you drive on the same side of the road as in Spain, on the right, we recommend that you do not drive a motorhome into the town. The streets are narrow and it will be difficult to find a place to park a motorhome.
You have to pass a barrier and take a ticket to access the motorhome area. The site has a grey and black water emptying system. There is no electricity. There is a small sanitary module and nearby there is a restaurant which also offers breakfast. The views of the Rock and the marina make this a very special place to stay in a motorhome.
