Andalusia can be divided into three areas. In the east we find the Sierra Nevada and the desert and beaches of Almeria. And in the west are the beaches of the provinces of Cádiz and Huelva, with the coastal cities of Cádiz and Gibraltar as the main tourist attractions. It is worth noting that all the provinces are home to natural parks with good motorhome infrastructures in the nearby small towns or villages.

Andalusia is known to be a popular destination for a typical summer trip with lots of sun, beach and sea. With a motorhome you are flexible and can avoid the hassle of all inclusive tourism. You can visit Andalusia by motorhome all year round. Depending on the season you choose there are various alternatives.
At Easter you can visit one of the many natural parks in the interior of the country. During this time you can enjoy nature in all its splendour by hiking, cycling, rafting, climbing and of course camping. Ideal destinations for a getaway in a motorhome are the white villages in the provinces of Cadiz and Malaga or the Alpujarras in Granada.
Other natural parks worth visiting by motorhome are the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales in the south of the Sierra de Grazalema and the Sierra de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas in the province of Jaén. This region is also home to the ancient university towns of Úbeda and Baeza.
The campsites and AC areas on the Costa del Sol are very popular with winter campers. You don’t have to spend months in Andalusia, you can also escape the winter for four to six weeks with our winter offers.
If you are flexible, autumn is a good time to travel to Andalusia. The swimming season ends in October, but the weather is still mild and occasionally hot. The sea water temperature is pleasant and you will have the wonderful beaches of the Costa de la Luz almost to yourself. In this period you can visit the Alhambra in Granada or the cathedral in Seville at your leisure.
Prices in campsites, bars and restaurants are significantly lower than in summer.
Summer in Andalusia is famously hot, so it is advisable to stay close to the coast and make short excursions inland. The Atlantic coast between Tarifa and Huelva offers the best weather during this time. The area between Tarifa and Cadiz is very popular in August. If it is too crowded, you can easily detour to the less visited areas. On the Costa de la Luz in the province of Huelva to the west of the Doñana National Park you will find long beaches and often trees in the shade of which you can camp with your motorhome.
